Brooke took her first dip into swimming at age 7 when she joined the Taylorville Swim Team. She immediately fell in love with the sport and at age 8 started swimming year around competitively on club teams which she’s been doing now for 9 years. Her passion and commitment have given her many opportunities including qualifying for the national age group meet in Orlando, Florida for three straight years. She also placed very well at the IHSA sectional meet last fall. She’s the proud owner of many TST records and is excited to share her passion for swimming with all the TST swimmers!
Joseph is a junior at Taylorville High School. He has been a long time member of the Taylorville Swim Team. He also swims for Capital Area Aqua Phoenix (CAAP).
Kade is a sophomore at Taylorville High School. He has been a long time member of the Taylorville Swim Team. He also swims for Capital Area Aqua Phoenix (CAAP).
Coach Ryan began swimming competitively at the age of 5. He swam for the Taylorville IL park district and also traveled to Decatur IL to swim with the Decatur Swim Club, and the YWCA Decatur Gators. He was a YMCA State Swimmer for the Gators as well as a National Swimmer for the Decatur Swim Club. Ryan grew up with a family full of competitive swimmers as well as a mother who has been a swim coach and swim instructor for over 30 years. He now has 3 athletes of his own on the team and enjoys helping the Tidal Waves grow. Coach Ryan is a USA certified coach.
Janet is an active swimmer for 50+ years. Along the way she was a lifeguard for 4 years and has taught swimming lessons for 40+ years. She was a TST swim coach for 11 years raising 3 competative swimmers of her own. Now she has been brought back out of coaching retirement and has once again been reunited with TST Coaching staff. Coach Janet is a USA certified coach.
